Overview

System/Pocket PC Requirements

PDS File Manager (PFM): These are the requirements for the PFM machine.

OS	Windows 2000/XP (Windows 7 & Vista is NOT supported)
Required Software	Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
	Adobe Acrobat 7.0 or later
	Microsoft ActiveSync 4.1 or later
Memory	Minimum 64 MB RAM

Pocket-PC Supported Devices: (Note: This information will be updated regularly)
The P-PC models below have been tested and are supported for use with PDS:

Windows Mobile 6.0 is NOT supported

P-PC Hardware

Secure Digital Card (Required)
A secure Digital (SD) Card is REQUIRED to load the PDS application. 256 MB is the minimum recommended size for the SD card. (SD card notice)

USB Sync Cable (Required)
A P-PC USB Synchronization/Travel Cable is REQUIRED for connecting your P-PC to the VCM USB cable. This cable is a manufacturer accessory for separate purchase.

Battery (Optional)
Removable and/or larger batteries for extended use are recommended.

PDS will only support Windows Mobile 5.0 on the HP iPAQ hx2490 Pocket PC. DO NOT upgrade the operating system of any of the other supported devices.

P-PCs and operating system combinations other than those listed are untested and not supported.

NOTE: DO NOT use cigarette lighter charge cables with your P-PC while using the VCM
