Ford Motor Company and International Truck and Engine jointly produce two vehicles under the Blue Diamond program, the F650/750 Super Duty and the Low Cab Forward (LCF). These medium duty trucks use the American Trucking Association's (ATA) standard communications protocol. This protocol requires the use of a diagnostic suite of tools referred to as MD Truck. It also requires the use of special communications cables to interface between the vehicle and the MD Truck software loaded on the Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS).
