IDS Technical Support - Information You Will Need:
You will need access to your PC, VCM and VMM (where applicable) when contacting support. Because the VCM and VMM receive their power from the vehicle's battery, a vehicle with a fully charged battery is also necessary.

Please be sure to have the following information:

1. IDS Versions – These can be found on the System Information subtab, with the VCM and VMM powered and connected: (On System Information subtab)
   b.  VCM Serial#
   c.  VCM BCF
   d.  VCM Prom
   e.  VCM Bootstrap
   f.   VMM BCF
   g.  VMM Prom
   
2. PC Make and Model
3. VCM Light Sequence you are seeing - ?Jot down the LED states by their numbers
4. Network Connection / Content - ISP
5. PC operating system and Service Pack level
6. Vehicle Type and Model Year - for vehicle specific problems
7. Any IDS error codes or error messages.
