VCM Hardware Kit:
When ordering a VCM you can select either the NGS+ Kit or the PDS Kit. The PDS kit includes the following:

• Vehicle Communication Module (VCM)
• 3ft 16-Pin DLC cable
• 8ft 16-Pin DLC cable
• USB VCM Cable *
• PDS Soft case for P-PC & VCM
• Initial PDS/PFM Software CD
• Vehicle Calibrations 'C' CD
• VCM AC Power Supply
  
  (* - A P-PC USB Synchronization/Travel Cable is REQUIRED for connecting your P-PC to the VCM USB cable. This cable is not always included with the P-PC and is often an accessory for separate purchase)

When ordering your PDS VCM Kit you must select either CD software delivery (Rotunda Part #078-00517) or Internet only software delivery (Rotunda Part #078-00516). Both options allow access to all updates and calibration files via the internet.

Conversion Kit:
The NGS+ to PDS conversion kit (Rotunda Part #078-00520) gives you the cables that allow you to also use your NGS+ VCM for PDS.

Using a NGS+ VCM with PDS:
An NGS+ VCM must be updated to at least NGS+ version 24.3 (CD 2004.10) before it can work with PDS (Click here for instructions on how to check your VCMs version). To update your VCM place it in the Caddy and connect it to your DBS PC for reprogramming.

Using a PDS VCM with NGS+ ?To use a PDS VCM for NGS+, it must be reprogrammed by the NGS+ Diagnostic Base Station (DBS) PC. Place the VCM in the NGS+ Caddy and connect it to your DBS PC for reprogramming.
