Using Your Subscriptions

Accessing your subscriptions, once subscribed

  • You will need to logout of the site and re-enter your User Name and Password in order to view your subscription.
  • Look under My Subscriptions on the left navigation.
  • You may now access your purchased subscriptions here.
  • You may either use the "Search Technical Resources" function or select your subscription from the left navigation items.

Using Your Subscription Items

  • Login using your previously created login ID and password.
  • Here are suggested usages for typical services (these will vary depending upon the issue you are working on)
    1. If you have an OEM-specific DTC from the vehicle, use the DTC Search for information.
      • Go to Service Publications, then to DTC Search
    2. Review Technical Service Bulletins for known concerns.
      • Go to Service Publications, then to Technical Service Bulletins,
      • then to By Year and Model OR
      • then to Symptom Code OR
      • Go to Service Publications, then to Vehicle Specific Information
    3. If working with Powertrain concerns and for diagnosing Check Engine Light malfunctions, use Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnostics (PC/ED) Manual.
      • Go to Service Publications, then to PC/ED
      • Within the PC/ED, you can start with DTC Code or Symptom Charts.
    4. For some Engine concerns and all non-Powertrain concerns use the Workshop Manual
      • Go to Service Publications, then to Workshop Manuals
    5. For electrical concerns, refer to the Wiring Diagram as directed by the PC/ED or Workshop Manual or to troubleshoot.
      • Go to Service Publications, then to Wiring Diagrams
